Advertisements

The markets seen a bit of a dip early this week but rallied back strong to finish the week up over the previous week. My accounts pretty much followed along and finished the up too. Let’s check out the details below!

Dividends

This week I received the following dividends in the Traditional IRA:

The dividends from Verizon and AT&T were deposited into the core account to be reinvested at later time. Both are sizable positions in my account and I want to allocate the funds from these to other assets in my account. The other dividends were reinvested into the underlying positions.

The following dividends were received in the Roth IRA this week:

These dividends were reinvested into the underlying positions.

The total amount of dividends received this week was $186.74.

Buys/Sells

The following buys were made in the Traditional IRA this week:

I continue to slowly increase the number of shares I own of Kroger. It won’t be too much longer until this position is at 100 shares.

The following buys were made in the taxable brokerage account this week:

Both of these positions are new to the taxable brokerage. I added Amazon to keep with the growth theme but with less speculation than many of my other positions in this account. I added SCHD to provide some stability and income from dividends to help the account grow.

No sells were made this week.

Options Trading

The following options trades were made this week in the Traditional IRA:

The total options premium received this week was $50.63.

Account Updates

The Traditional IRA finished the week at $118,184. This is up $323 from the previous week.

The Roth IRA finished the week at $709. This is up $10 from the previous week.

The 401k finished the week at $8,349. This is up $16 over the previous week.

The taxable brokerage account finished the week at $331. This is up about $31 from the previous week. This total includes the regular monthly contribution of $25.

My small amount of bitcoin finished the week at $17.30. This is up $1.22 from the previous week.

The total amount invested across all accounts is $127,592. This is up about $382 over the previous week.

Wrap Up

The total amount of dividends and options premium received this week was $237.37. I am still excited to see the growth in these accounts both in overall value and income. When I decided to take control of my financial life a little over a year and half ago I was really nervous about investing. As time goes by my confidence grows as I see my plan working. I am so glad I started on this journey and I would encourage others to take charge of their financial life too. That about wraps it up for this week. Thanks for following along!
