Dividend Raises!

One of the best things about being a dividend investor, besides getting dividends, is getting dividend raises. Getting these raises requires no extra effort on my part. All I have to do is own the stock. This past week several companies that I own stock in announced dividend raises. Let’s check out which companies gave me a raise and how much I am going to get!

Microsoft (MSFT) announced an 10.7% dividend raise this week along with a $60 billion stock buyback plan. The quarterly dividend will go from $0.56 to $0.62 per share. This will mean an extra $6.03 per year for me.

Texas Instruments (TXN) raised its dividend by about 12.7%. The quarterly dividend will go from $1.02 to $1.15 per share. This will result in an extra $5.36 per year for me.

U.S. Bancorp (USB) raised its dividend by about 9.5%. The quarterly dividend will go from $0.42 to $0.46 per share. This will result in an extra $3.23 per year for me.

W.P. Carey Inc. (WPC) raised its dividend by 0.2%. The quarterly dividend will go from $1.05 to $1.052 per share. This will result in an extra $0.41 per year for me.

Realty Income (O) also raised its monthly dividend by .0.2%. The monthly dividend will go from $0.2355 to $0.236 per share. This will result in an extra $0.31 per year for me.

Store Capital Corp. (STOR) raised its dividend by 6.9%. The quarterly dividend will go from $0.36 to $0.385 per share. This will result in an extra $0.11 per year for me.

Innovative Industrials Properties Inc. (IIPR) raised its dividend by 7.1%. The quarterly dividend will go from $1.40 to $1.50 per share. This will result in an extra $0.10 per year for me.

Philip Morris International (PM) announced a 4.2% increase to its dividend. The quarterly dividend will go from $1.20 to $1.25 per share. This will result in an extra $0.05 per year for me.

American Tower Corp. (AMT) raised its dividend by 3.1%. The quarterly dividend will go from $1.27 to $1.31 per share. This will result in an extra $0.03 per year for me.

As a result of these raises I will be receiving an extra $15.63 per year. This total does not take into consideration that each time a dividend is paid, whether monthly or quarterly, the dividend will buy more shares when it is reinvested. The compounding effect will increase this total. This is money that I did not have to work for and I will be putting this money to work for me. Some of these raises were big, some were small, but in my book, any raise is a good raise. Thanks for following along.
