Wrap Up

The total amount of dividends and options premium received this week was $230.57. This week was a good week for the most part. I was disappointed that 100 shares of Kroger got called away. I did not anticipate the stock going up more than 20% in a month. My cost basis on the KR shares was a little over $35 so I did profit by selling the shares at $48. Selling the covered call limited the upside, so I did not reap the benefit of KR running past $48 to above $55. This is one of the drawbacks to trading options. Despite this, I still consider the reward of trading options greater than the risk. That wraps it up for this week. Thanks for following along!

On a side note, I have added a Recommended Resources in the menu. It currently is a work in progress. It will contain blogs and YouTube channels that I enjoy as well as some sites that I use. I hope you take the time to check it out.

  1. I like the options trading strategy. I do a similar thing. Never have been assigned though because I have been luck and also do much less options than you do. Good luck

    1. Thanks! I am trying to create a little extra income from options trading. Right now, that income is being reinvested to grow the account. In the future, options premium will help to pay my expenses.
