Dividends, Investing and Options Trading Weekly Update 9/3/22

The stock market was down again this week with both the S&P 500 and NASDAQ finishing the week down. Despite the stock market being down I continue to stick to my plan. I view this as a great learning experience. I get to see how my accounts perform in a down market including how much income the accounts are producing. This should help me in the future when I am retired to understand that even when the stock market drops and my account values fall I will still be able to produce income from my accounts. Alright, let’s check out my weekly update on dividends, investing and options trading.

Wrap Up

This week I did receive $26.70 in interest from my bank accounts. The combined income from dividends, options premium and interest totaled $183.37 this week. One thing I have learned in the short time I have been investing is that no matter whether the market is going up or going down, dividends from quality companies will continue to come in. I can also generate income from accounts by trading options, but I still have a lot to learn in this area. Month to month, the income from options trading has not been very consistent. Over time, I should be able improve my options strategy to provide a reliable source of income. That wraps it up for this week. Thanks for following along!
