Happy New Year everyone! 2023 was a very good year for me and I am looking forward to having even a better year in 2024. With the new year comes time to set some new goals for the year. Here are a few of my financial goals for 2024.
The number one goal is to max out my Roth IRA contribution again this year. Continuing to invest is the most important thing I can do to help me reach my goal to retire at age 59 1/2. I will also continue to contribute to my 401k up to my company match and contribute some to my taxable accounts.
For 2024, my goal for dividends received is $7,000. This would be a 30% increase over 2023. The dividend snowball is rolling and I plan to keep it growing. All of dividends received will be reinvested.
As far as overall income from my accounts, my goal for 2024 is $12,500. This includes income from dividends, options, interest, and my website. This money will be reinvested into the accounts to continue to grow the accounts.
While 2023 was a very good year for me, I plan to use that momentum to have an even better 2024. Some of my goals may prove difficult to reach, but I find that I do better when I have to put in work to achieve my goals. I wish all of you a great 2024 and encourage everyone to keep investing!
