September has come to an end so it is time for another update. This month was a record month for income from my accounts. Dividends and options premium were from both up from the last month. This month also saw a spike in income from loaning out some of my shares. Let’s take a look at how much income from my accounts I received in September.
For the month, I received a total of $959.72 in dividends. This is a new personal best for dividends in a month beating out June 2024 by about $14. This is an increase over September 2023 when I received $649.96 in dividends. This is a 47.66% increase year over year. For the year I have received $5,240.63 in dividends. This puts me at 74.87% toward my goal of $7,000 dividends received for the year. After being behind pace for much of the year to reach my goal I am finally caught up.
Options premium received in September was back up this month when compared to last month. The total for the month was $718.43. For the year, I have received $5,792.96 in options premium. I was not as active this month in options trading. Below is chart of all the options trades I made in September.

The total amount of income produced from my accounts for September was $2,115.90. This includes dividends, options premium, interest and interest from loaning out some my shares. For the year, my accounts have produced $11,834.07 of income which has been reinvested back into the accounts to allow the compounding effect to grow my accounts. This puts me at 94.67% toward my goal of $12,500 of income from accounts this year.
Reaching over $2,000 of income in a month is very exciting! I continue to get closer to my first $1,000 month in dividends. Maybe in December I will reach that mark. Part of what pushed my income total over $2,000 was from loaning out some of my shares. The shares I loaned out were SIRI. This netted me about $375 in September. I will get some more interest from loaning out shares in October. However, I do not currently have any shares on loan. Once the SIRI stock split occurred my shares were returned to me and no longer on loan. Loaning out my shares was great while it lasted, but it is not something I am actively seeking to do.
I should manage to achieve my goal of $7,000 in dividends by the end of the year. I will blow past my goal of $12,500 of income for the year next month. It will be interesting to see how much income my accounts produce this year.
As always, I will continue to invest and reinvest the dividends and options premium. Pursuing this plan will allow the income from my accounts to grow.
